BIM tools are gaining more and more importance in the construction sector, however in the case of occupational risks prevention, this is not yet the case. In addition, the current way of managing prevention is often consummated in an excessive list of procedures shortly integrated in the planning of the work, which creates an environment of devaluation of this problem. It is therefore necessary to take into account the state of evolution of technique, for example with the use of BIM for preventive purposes. In this paper, it is going to be exposed the different uses of BIM for risk management modes, namely in the areas of document management, risk identification, training, planning, emergency planning and investigation of accidents at work. It can be concluded that this methodology opens the way for a better streamlining of prevention planning, making it more understandable and maximizing its integration with production.
